Strategy & Vision 2030
- Strategic Priorities and Impact 2030 – Premix Business
As part of our long-term mission to improve micronutrient access and reduce malnutrition through large-scale food fortification (LSFF) and fortification of commercial foods, we have outlined a series of ambitious Vision 2030 commitments that align with global goals and our operational strengths. These commitments reflect our dedication to product innovation, supply chain responsiveness, strategic partnerships, and equitable market expansion.
Vision 2030
- Vitamin Innovation Leadership:
We will invest in advanced technologies for premix formulation in collaboration with research institutions, with the aim of becoming a category-leading manufacturer of at least two highly stable vitamin forms by 2030. This includes vitamin A and other sensitive micronutrients. - Scale-Up of Fortification Among SMEs:
By extending technical support, including regional formulation guidance, sample-based trials, and usage best practices, we aim to onboard new small and medium-sized producers of fortified foods. Our objective is to enable the fortification of more than 50% of foods across markets where regulations mandate food fortification by 2030. - Market Expansion and Milling Industry Coverage:
We will expand our reach in the milling industry to more than 200 producers of staples by 2030. This growth will be concentrated in Africa, Southeast Asia, the CIS, and Central Asia, through direct business development and collaborations such as the Millers for Nutrition initiative, which we are a part of as a Strategic Fortification Partner across 8 countries in the program. - Operational Agility:
To ensure rapid market responsiveness, we will commit to a quick product development of new premix requirements, and agile dispatch readiness - Price Accessibility for High-Need Regions:
We will maintain price competitiveness for nutritionally vulnerable regions, particularly Africa and Asia, to support widespread adoption of fortification practices at scale. - Commercial Fortification Growth:
We aim to increase the share of premixes sold for commercial food fortification, from the current 30% to 40% by 2030, focusing on categories such as dairy, beverages, bakery, infant foods, snacks, and nutraceuticals. - Regulatory Alignment and Market Presence:
We aim to be present in more than 95% of the markets where food fortification is mandatory by 2030. Our efforts will prioritize product offerings tailored to regional standards and guidelines.
Progress Highlights: FY 2024–25
We made significant strides toward our 2030 targets in the current reporting year, with focused execution and accountability frameworks across the organization.
- Vitamin A Innovation Milestone:
In partnership with Particles for Humanity, who has developed a new, stable form of vitamin A for food fortification, we have signed the licensing agreement to manufacture and supply the PFH-VAP for commercial use in bouillon in Africa. The commercial manufacturing process is underway, with full-scale availability starting January 2026. - New Customer Acquisition in Fortification:
We engaged with more than 20 new staple food producers across emerging markets, and have initiated supply to five of these clients, including three oil refineries and two flour mills in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. All prospects are supported with regional customized formulation guidance, sampling, and usage support throughout the journey.
- Lead Time Optimization:
Operational improvements across R&D and logistics allowed us to reduce premix turnaround time to 21 days, achieving our target for dispatch preparedness and enhancing responsiveness in high-priority markets.
- Market-Based Pricing Competitiveness:
Our prices have been relatively competitive across premix suppliers in Africa and Asia, enabling improved market penetration and adoption in price-sensitive regions.
- Commercial Food Fortification Expansion:
The proportion of total premix volumes used for commercial fortification applications reached to 30% in FY 2024–25. Contribution was led by infant nutrition, dairy, and functional beverage segments.
